No matter your size no one wants to appear heavier than they are and many would prefer to appear a little thinner. The next time you are shooting someone have them turn their shoulder slightly away from the camera that simple act will make them look thinner and focus more attention on the face. Remember the head can still face the camera but the shoulders are turned slightly. Try this tip and your subjects will appear to have a more pleasing look which will make the photograph more professional.
